Achievements: Hoi Xuan - Ten Tan road project in Thanh Hoa province (connecting Quan Hoa district with Muong Lat district, Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam) with a length of 34 km from km 63+00 to km 97+00 has been completed and put into use in 2015. This is a vital route connecting Thanh Hoa city center to Laos through Ten Tan border gate. More specifically, the Hoi Xuan - Ten Tan road project has been upgraded and expanded from a width of 3.5 m to 9.5 m and the road surface is paved with asphalt concrete (Type C16) with a thickness of 6 cm to meet the needs of the road. Transportation demand has been increasing rapidly in recent times. Previously, when vehicles traveled through the route, it took a long time from 5 hours to 6 hours due to rough and dangerous roads, but now the time for vehicles to travel and transport only takes from 2 hours to 3 hours, reducing costs. The vehicle's fuel circulation reaches 45-75% when passing through the route. Road traffic demand, including both freight demand and passenger transport demand, increases. According to statistics, over the past 10 years, transport activities have increased on average by 8.6% per year in terms of tons of goods and 8.0% in terms of passengers, bringing economic development to the region in terms of price increase. The average annual production value reaches 11.5%, the town's total annual service revenue is estimated at 169 billion VND, and the average income per capita is over 42 million VND/year.
