Development of irrigation system North of Chu River - South of Ma River, under Cua Dat Reservoir Project, Thanh Hoa province.

Enhance irrigation capacity for crops and crops, ensuring safety for people; Build an adjacent system to ensure the safety of life and property for people. This project is invested in by the Thanh Hoa Irrigation Project Management Board.

Achievement: The project South of Chu River - North of Ma River has gradually been put into operation and use. Up to this point, people have been very proactive in water control, increasing from 1 rice crop to 2 crops/year, proactively. on irrigation water, thereby increasing farming efficiency in 2019 to nearly 6 tons/ha. In particular, thanks to water, communes that benefit from irrigation projects have the conditions to change crop structure from rice to cash crops, many areas have income of over 300 million/hectare/year, and drought conditions occur every year. years improved, people's lives became less difficult, and the poverty rate decreased from 5.8% to 4.1%. When there was a water channel system from Cua Dat Lake, we were able to proactively ensure water supply according to the irrigation schedule, and the project was able to irrigate 100% of the designed area. In addition, the project also improves economic, living, and industrial efficiency for the downstream area. Improve management of water resources, provision of irrigation services, operation and maintenance of irrigation systems within the irrigation management system. Improve irrigation infrastructure and serve people's daily activities.
