Flood drainage in Region III, Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa province. - Objective: Build infrastructure to promote the economic development of urban areas, act as a driving force for economic development in Nong Cong District, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, improve the quality of the living environment, and minimize the impact of climate change on people. This project is invested by Thanh Hoa Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board.
- Project implementation: Organizing construction site premises, construction equipment, and warehouses for gathering materials and waste, arranging entrance gates, barriers, signs, water supply, drainage, traffic, and communication lost during construction
- Budget: 15,985 million VND.
- Time period: 1.6 years (2019 - 2021).
- Role: Project executive director.
Achievement: Region III communes of Nong Cong district are inherently low-lying areas. Flooding has occurred every rainy season for many generations. Generations of people in the area "living with floods" have longed for construction projects. Large-scale flood drainage to settle and stabilize life for people in this low-lying area. The Nong Cong Region III Flood Drainage Project has helped drain floods for more than 3,000 hectares of rice fields in 9 low-lying communes in the district. Regulating the appropriate amount of water has helped Nong Cong district restructure agriculture and increase cultivated area. , solving the problem of frequent flooding not only in agricultural production but also in residential areas.
